Luka Blakeslee

Luka is an Art major at LCC and intends to transfer to the Cinema Studies department at U of O. He has been practicing film photography for one year, starting his journey using a family 110-format camera and eventually graduating to 35mm and 120 format.

He has explored other forms of visual media, with one of his short films being a part of the Oregon Independent Film Festival.

His style is recognizable for its visual collaboration between the mundane world and a second, noumenal, more nonphysical world that exists to complement the grounded reality of his subjects.

For Luka, Photography is a way to explore the world around him, his internal landscape, and the interplay between the two. And by sharing his work, he intends to urge others to do the same.
